From the heavens came a rustling, an imperceptible movement within the spirit world. The God of all creation looked down on His precious child, forever young and vibrant in His eyes. His tender voice whispered over her as angels looked on with anticipation.
“My daughter, my love, I have known you since before you were. I planned your life before your existence and knew your steps before you could walk. Watching you grow and learn and seeing Myself in you is the greatest joy I’ve known. While you weren’t perfect and had your share of mistakes and heartaches, your faithfulness to Me has been steadfast and sure.
I have given you to this earth for a time and that time is almost up. Those close to you will miss you dearly, but because of your diligent witness, they will see you again. You have fulfilled all that I placed you here to do and now it is time to come home.
I know you are ready and I can’t wait to see you face to face and hold you and welcome you to your eternal reward. Just wait until you see all that I have prepared for you! You will be perfect and whole and we will never be separated again. I‘ll see you soon.”
A peace settled within the room and over the beloved child of God. Her countenance seemed to take on an unexplainable glow. The rustling continued on, stirring and exiting through the house, taking with it her last breath. It was the end.
Across the city, the pure air of heaven arrived in another home. His powerful presence, however, went unnoticed by its occupants. Deep in the darkness, unable to be seen or heard or felt, a momentous miracle took place that would forever change numerous lives. God smiled over His newest creation, made exactly as He intended.
“Hello, little one. I’m your Father, although you will call someone else that first. Your life here begins today, but has been planned for all eternity. I have placed within you all that I desire you to have and all that you will ever need. At this moment, you are unrecognizable to the world, but not to Me. I see you as you are and will be, fully and completely you. Original, like no other.
The ones to whom I’ve giving you won’t know about you for some time, but don’t worry, I’ll make sure you are safe and protected where you are. And later, they will take very good care of you and love you as best they know how.
Oh, I have such great plans for you; I wish I could tell them all to you right now! But it would be too much for you to comprehend, for right now you are unaware of even your own humanity. But that will come in time. For now, you are but a glimmer of what is to be.
You will experience much joy and blessing, but there will also be sadness, confusion and many, many questions. I don’t expect you to understand everything this life will bring. Just stay close to Me and hold My hand always. I love you so very, very much and I promise I will never, ever leave you. Come to Me at any time and I will be here.”
The gentle breath of God exhaled a delicate fragrance in the darkness, permeating this new life to its core. His spirit moved on, but not away, as always remaining ever present, ever near, at every moment of every life. The moon rose to meet the sparkling stars as creation was once again set beautifully into motion. It was the beginning.
