You pick me up and carry me in Your arms when I am too tired to walk. You untangle me from the snares I get caught in. You lift me when I fall.
You love the poor and the weak. You eat with those that live beyond the city walls. You adore those despised and rejected by the proud. You delight in being my strength in my weakness.
You create things to put into my life for Your pleasure.
You answer me when I call on Your name.
Your forgiveness to me extends as far as the east is from the west – that’s how far Your compassion flows.
You heal my sicknesses, and my blindness – not because I deserve it, but because of Your immeasurable love for me.
You bring peace to the internal warring parts of my soul. You lead me to victory.
You deliver me from my demons. Your greatest pleasure is to bring freedom to those wrapped in the chains of Your enemy.
You rule over all creation in power and authority, and at the merest whisper of Your name demons flee from my circumstances.
You love me with incredible passion. Even if I sat in this chair for the next thousand years and never accomplished anything that measured up to my expectations of myself, You would still love me as much.
You love to hold me close and look into my eyes and tell me that You adore me.
You are my rushing stream that waters my roots and brings my fruit in season.
You breathe through Scripture, speak through God’s people, whisper into my spirit, fill me with all I need, and guide me each day.
Teacher
– Holy Spirit –
You are in me
and around me
right now.
Tell me Teacher, what are You doing, and where will You go next?
