I stand here a sinner with the living dead.
What is this mess that I’ve got me in
sinking ever deeper in this mire of sin.
I haven’t seen the sun shine in a long time
caught up in the whirlwind I call my mine.
I have no peace neither up or down
laughter gone and sadness is all I found.
A challenge to get up, a fight to lay down
with all that I have done, now I wear a frown.
I feel as though I had already died alone
there is nothing left of meal my sins are shone.
Will I ever find some peace is my anguished cry
or should I lay down and just give up and die.
As I lay here too weak to move my fight is done
I saw His sandaled feet as he said “I’m the One.”
I felt his touch He lifted my up and brushed me clean
“I’ve been here all the time your life I’ve seen.
Come along with me I’ll show you the way
now He’s always by my side and never goes away.
