Rare the soul that knows direction,
I lunge right and left, all is question.
Gee for whiz and off I go
Heartfelt, means well, I don’t know
Time or place, all unmarked routes,
******confusion reigns and gains attention.******
All too quickly what seems sound
Negates itself and runs aground,
Defying reason, off I’m bound.
Less is more with weighty thoughts
Endless woes “I shoulda Oughts,”
Flee the devil’s subtlety
Trampling our self dignity
******With cruel intentions we are caught.******

Redeemed in God’s holy truth,
Adopted, newly dependent
Labor eager for truthfulness

Right and left, left and right,
To be found righteous in His Sight
We must choose wisely – bad or good
Head north or south, east or west
Straight to Jesus is the best
Choose not evil over good . . .
To rhyme or reason out the battle
Takes more than my poor brain can rattle,
When walking off that too short pier
Be careful, prayerful, oh my dear
To make a splash is no neat trick
If swimming well is not your shtick,

Good job with this piece that tells truths along with a whimsical dusting to make you smile.
God bless
Great job.
Truly enjoyed this. And I always leave the comment that poetry isn't my thing.
You messed that up. I loved it.
Thank you and God Bless!
I have always found your style of writing to be genius, and this is no exception. Excellent work, poet.
You are a colorful wordsmith my dear.
