Do you get much paper and pen time? I find that I have to make time. Time to sit down with my notebooks spread out in front, all three staring up at me, blankly. My diary, journal and blogging notebook, and I jot down things as I pray and pat the baby to keep her sleeping. If I don’t get my paper and pen time I find that the week runs away laughing at me for my lack of productivity.
So when the baby is asleep, we sit down and stare at each other, those books and me.
I write down everything I want to get done in my diary from Monday to Wednesday and then if I don’t get it all done I spend Thursday and Friday catching it up and crossing stuff from the days previous.
In my journal I need to write more. I used to write pages pouring out my soul and now I just write points from sermons to facebook so that everyone can share it with me. My journal and I used to be rather private and sometimes it still is but . . . not so often.
Then there is my blogging notebook where I must write down ideas as they come to empty my brain so I can concentrate on what I should be doing . . . praying. Otherwise these technical ideas bleep and barge their way around on those spaghetti strands in my head.
There are so many beautiful home organisation books out there that I would love to sample, but I’m trying to save money, so for now, these 3 little books will suffice.
