Topic: The Writer’s Skill/Craft (04/22/10)
The soul bubbles up from the very depths of our being, forcing its way along trembling arms as it bursts forth from the finger tips, to flow outward on paper for the world to see. Inspiration and guidance to the lost. A merry little chuckle to those sad at heart. Though sometimes a simple candle of wisdom, at others its flames burn so bright in the world of men it takes on a new form.

Craft they call it, a writer's skill with words. But to us rare few, we know beyond doubt the source of this awe inspiring exclamation of power. We feel it grow from the simplest idea, a single spark in our minds, to the all powerful inferno that could engulf the world.

We sit in wonder ourselves, watching as the words form, building cities and landscapes, lives of people born and ended in a moment. Histories are formed as nations rise and crumble again into dust to be buried and walked upon in centuries yet to come-- all in that same blinding flash of an idea.

Yes, we know, as any like minded Christian should. for we were truly made in the image of our God, and as HE created existence in a moment's thought. we too would conceive worlds and live lives in a moment twinkling. Our greatest inspiration, the outpouring of our deepest thoughts, flow from the very heart of our Creator. . .

. . .and the Lord is the greatest Muse.

Perfect title, and I heartily agree! Lots of depth here, and I thought your last line was the best, "Our greatest inspiration..." A few sentences in last paragraph needed another once over with editing (no caps at beginning of sentences). But I love your comparison of God being the Creator, and we, being made in His image, also create. Tremendous thought!
