A sweet story!

A very heartfelt story very relatable too. I have a granddaughter in the first grade and I pick her up from school everyday. When her class is on their best behavior the teacher will give them a treat. As soon as we are in the car, you know exactly what she is doing. Singing a little tune and eating her treat. And no she does not ask me if I want any. LOL
You are so right about our best intentions!

Even though I knew where this story was going, I loved the ending and how you tied it all in so well.

Great writing. Just a small error in one sentence. '...a rare...' I think you changed it mid-stride and forgot to omit the trailing 'a'.
