Gravmaster scratched the kitten on its head and answered for it in a baby-talk voice, Sorry Mommy.
The kitten and the little girl screamed as they both saw a large dark figure swoop down towards Gravmaster. Silently, the figure struck Gravmaster from behind and knocked him cold.
When Gravmaster awoke some time later, he faced one of the Light Forces enemies, Moonhunter, member of Allahs Fist, The Muslim supergroup that his team had fought repeatedly. He was not restrained by anything visible, but it was as if hed used his powers on himself. He could, however, still use the telepathic communication that he shared with his teammates, and broadcast an SOS.
Moonhunter spoke as Alex did so. Got you, you Christian punk
Gravmaster, skilled at using telepathy and speaking, didnt miss a beat, Punk? Thats new. Your friends usually just call us infidels.
Moonhunterer shrugged. My operation, so I dont have to follow the script. Now we have you, and my friends and I are going to kill you.
Gravmaster sneered at his foe, Then what? Even if I die the rest of the Light Force will track you down and put your gang back in jail...again. He heard Megawatt, the team leader of the Light Force, say in his mind, Want us to come in yet?
Gravmaster sent back, No, I want to get him talking, to reveal the usual evil plan.
OK get him monologuing then, but the rest of us are just outside of the mosque where hes holding you.
Predictable, Alex thought to himself. Aloud he asked Moonhunter, So, you gonna talk me to death or are we going to...fight! As he said the last word he managed to free himself by using a massive amount of nullgravity to break loose. Yeah, Alex retorted, Let's fight. So I can put you down like always.
Moonhunter stammered his response, Lion Lord, please bring out the rest of the team. He got loose!
Lion Lord, a large, powerfully built man, threw a door open, revealing the rest of his team of Muslim crusaders.
She-Snake, a woman in a green outfit complete with hijab and veil, hissed at Moonhunter, One job, you had just one job, to capture this infidel and leave him here for us to kill, demoralizing his friends and making them easy prey for the rest of us.
Gravmaster smiled down at the assembled Muslims as he spoke over She-Snake, So you guys are supposed to be backup. Too bad I didnt think of that. He fired a plus grav beam at She-Snake as he finished his retort. Oh wait, I did.
The door to the mosque flew in as Diamond pounded the doors off their hinges and bellowed, Surrender in the name of Jesus and you won't get hurt...too badly. Looking up where his teammate was floating over the now uneven combat, Diamond shouted, Ya OK, skinny?
Yep, Alex responded. Lets rock and roll, friends!"
She-Snake was down so that left only four more to deal with.
Diamond took down Lion Lord with a single punch, while Blue Flame singed the tailfeathers of the Owl. Mariness pulled down water to soak the battlefield from the sprinklers, as the remaining Light Force heroes attacked Ali-Gator and Moonhunter, who was having a bit of trouble dodging the water and Megawatts lightning. Ali-gator fell to Coldfires icy blasts, while Amazing Girl scooped the fallen Muslims in to her oversized hands.
As they led the captured Muslims out to be taken back to jail, after being given depowering shots, the Light Force looked at one another until Alex broke the silence. I know we usually offer a prayer thanking God for our victory but ... at a mosque?
Megawatt, being the wise leader, responded, Scripture says to pray constantly. Doesnt say where. By the way, good job keeping him talking until you managed to bust free.
Gravmaster shrugged off his teammates compliment. You know Moonhunter, all talk, no action.
The team laughed and then circled around to praise Jesus for seeing them through another mission, and putting Allahs Fist back behind bars.
