I found my heart beating fast, an unwelcome uneasiness surrounding me as I read your piece.

Little secrets, hidden choices, weigh heavy on the heart to those who love Jesus. Thank you for the willingness to question if the secret was okay. I expected the piece to end with a joke, excusing the behavior. It was great how the ending was a question. This piece is a winner.

Of course I wonder if you married the fiancé and if the pastor ever changed his stance on televion. Thank you for a great little piece.

I agree - this piece is a winner! I also like the ending. Thanks for sharing. You must tell us, did you marry the pastor's son?

Something of an expose on selective - even contradictory - judgements, but you've kept it light. And left us wondering whether the secret relates to the box or to the impending marriage....
Maybe the answer will arrive in a future Challenge entry???

Well done..
Blessings~
Enjoyable because of the contrast.

This may have been necessary, though, so the sermons would have some reality to them.

I'm surprised this didn't win! It is a powerful, well-written, disturbing story - certainly on topic.
