Great descriptions and a very uplifting personal example of what it means to trust God in the midst of a storm. I'm glad you were all ok.
Not everyone who experienced Irma could write a conclusion like yours. What does make the difference is the invisible part that has been given to us when we are baptized for the forgiveness of our sin - God's Holy Spirit.

Good news reporting because of His Spirit.

You say you were prepared to fear, but you feared less than your neighbors who don't know Jesus. Well told.
You had some fabulous descriptions. I especially enjoyed, "brutal kiss" and "sweeping swirling skirts". I thought the end felt a little tacked on. Maybe you could have included the ideas of drawing on God during our personal storms throughout the description of Irma? Otherwise, I found it an engaging read that put me in the "eye of the storm!"

Peace in the midst of the storm. I appreciate your demonstration of faith during the recent Hurricane. Writing of both the physical and spiritual storms of life and your response is an encouragement for us all.
Congratulations on ranking 10th in your level. Happy Dance.
