“Hello. Hey Mom. Of course, I remember we are coming to dinner tonight. Sorry Mom, can I call you back? My cell is ringing.”
“Hello. Good morning Jill. Yes, I’ll have Paul there at 3:15. No, I can’t stay. Mandy has a dentist appointment at four. Let me call you later. I have to get the kids up.”
"Paul, Mandy get up. I have your breakfast ready. Hurry!”
“What’s with these phones this morning? Hello. Oh, hey honey. We are about to get in the van and head to school. What do you need? Sure I’ll run by and pick up your cleaning. Remember, Mom’s at six. Don’t be late. Love you, too.”
“Okay kids here we are. Have a good day.”
“Mom don’t forget I’m going to Joey’s right after school.”
“I won’t forget honey. Bye.”
“Hello. I’m at the grocery store Mr. Wilson, but I’ll be home in thirty minutes. You can come then, but please be on time. I have lots to do today. Thanks.”
“Hello. I’m sorry Jill. I haven’t had a minute to call. I’m headed home with groceries, and the plumber is on his way. I’ll stay a couple of minutes when I drop Paul off. Sorry dear. Hectic day.”
“I appreciate you getting here so promptly, Mr. Wilson. That leaky faucet is like water torture for me. Bill can’t hear it, but as soon as I lay down, I do. Oh, goodness there goes my phone again. Please let yourself out. Thanks.”
"Hello. Hey Bill. You’re getting off early and coming home for lunch. Sure, I’ll fix you something. Gotta go my cell is ringing.”
“Dina here. How can I help you? Sure Mable I can show the house on Hillside at two. Thanks for calling.”
“Honey, I’m home. Thanks for fixing me lunch on such short notice. I remembered I have an appointment with our accountant at three this afternoon.” Bill dove into the turkey sandwich Dina left on the counter.
“No problem, Bill. I’m getting ready to show that big Victorian on Hillside at two. I sure hope they’re on time. I don’t want to be late picking up the kids at three.”
“Mable, the clients haven’t shown. It’s 2:30. I can’t wait much longer. Oh, here they are now.”
“Jill, I’m so sorry, but Paul can’t come today. I’m running late, and Mandy has to be at the dentist at four. Can we reschedule? Thanks dear.”
“May I help you?”
“Yes, Mandy is here for her appointment.”
“Dr. Payne had an emergency, and is running about 45 minutes behind. He’ll be with you as soon as possible. Please fill out this update for our records, and bring it back to me.”
“Bill, we are leaving the dentist office now. I’ll just meet you at Mom’s. It’s been a hectic day. I’ll tell you about it later. Love ya.”
“Dina, did you get my laundry?”
“Yes honey. I got it when I went grocery shopping. See you in a few.”
“This day can’t get over quick enough. Thank you Lord that Mom is having us to dinner. I don’t think I have the sense to prepare a meal tonight.”
