A dull ache squeezes my heart.
Grades will be due soon. Evaluations of every single student. Did they all complete the writing assignment? I must grade their essays. I must stop at the store on the way home.
My heart palpitates to the beat of a drum solo.
She needed my help but it took all my time that I had planned to grade papers. How do I say no to someone who requires my help? I want to do my best at this job. Her mother wants a response to the situation. I need to write her an email. I need to figure out what to make for dinner.
Pain sweeps across my chest scattering debris.
Tomorrow night is the event we have planned for so long. How many more details are we missing? Do I have all the lessons planned for later? I could also add one more thing to make sure they understand. I have to figure out the plan. I have to speak to my colleagues. I should search for more information. I should time the lesson to see if it's enough. I should pick up the kids soon.
My heart thinks.
