Preparations for the feast began over 2000 years ago when the Father said, “It is time, my son. Let us begin.” At that exact moment in time all things were created and spoken into existence. The first man, Adam, was formed from the dust of the earth and the first woman was created from one of Adam's ribs and he named her Eve.
They were given explicit instructions from the Master to multiply and replenish the earth and to oversee and take care of all other creation. They enjoyed a perfect relationship with the Father and with each other. They lived in a perfect world, yet disobeyed the very one that created them.....and sin entered into the world.
“Look,” the Father said. “They have become like us knowing both good and evil. Now, they must reach out and take the fruit from the tree of life and eat. We must prepare for the feast and invite all to come and partake.”
The ultimate plan of salvation was then set into place. The Father sent his only Son, Jesus, to be the Savior of many. He was crucified on an old rugged cross at Mount Calvary and His blood was shed for the sins of all that choose to accept the invitation and partake of His fruit. Out of unconditional love....amazing grace.....and the Son's obedience, the Father provided the perfect sacrificial lamb as an atonement for our sins.
As Jesus hung on the cross, He said, “It is finished.” He then bowed His head and gave up the ghost. He was buried......rose again on the third day.....then left His spirit to dwell within all believers. He then ascended into heaven to rejoin the Father and now sits at the right hand of God praying and interceding for all partakers.
So the feast is still ready and waiting, even today. The table is set with fine linen and many names are engraved in the guest book. Some are already seated but there's still plenty of room for more. Manna from heaven is plentiful and you'll never hunger or thirst again..... for Jesus is the bread of life and the living water.
If you're weary and burdened.....please come.....He will give you rest. If you're filled with quilt and shame....He'll wash you white as snow. Are you searching for peace and joy? He came so you might have life and have it even more abundantly!
So please join us and RSVP when you receive your invitation. He stands at the door....knocking.....do you hear Him? He's calling in a still calm voice....Are you listening? Today is the day of salvation. All you have to do is accept the invitation.....come and enjoy the feast...... and get to know the host....Jesus.
Come, and He will welcome you into the room and introduce himself saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega- the beginning and the end. I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come-the Almighty One.” (See Revelation 1:8)
“Come now, let's settle this,” says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
So please don't delay. Accept His invitation today and enjoy the feast from the Master's table. He will provide all that you need and when the time comes to leave this world and go to your heavenly home, He'll take you by the hand and wipe every tear from your eye, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things will be gone forever.” (See Revelation 21:4) And then, together, we'll feast at the Master's table for all eternity.
