We may have been slim and trim and full of athletic energy but after a few years we realize how little control we have over our physical body as it changes. The years take their toil and we slow down in all aspects of life. We may gain too much weight, develop various ailments, and even lose our hearing or sharp eyesight. But man has in his limited wisdom developed hearing aids, eye glasses, things to help us move around , and also trained doctors to treat many of our medical problems. However, no matter how well we treat our physical body with all the proper exercise, foods, and safety concerns, in a short few years we will lay our body to rest in the grave.
The Bible gives us the complete story as we see in James 4: 14.15, " Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow, For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this and do that." Yes, our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has full control over our physical life here on the earth.
However, there is one thing that never changes and that is "The Word Of God". Our Lord tells us in Matthew 28: 18 to 20. " All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. " Go ye therefore. and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father , and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, even unto the end of the world. A-men."
