Topic: Spring (as in the season) (11/28/05)
Ever since I was very little,
I can remember really enjoying Spring.
Maybe it was because school was about to be over?
Or, maybe it was because I would be going to camp.
Maybe it was because of the warm weather,
And, I play outside?
Maybe it was because it was getting closer to my birthday?
However, now that I am much older,
I don’t believe it was for any of those reasons.
I believe it was because it was due the beginning and newness of life.

It seems to me that we go through seasons in life.
Sometimes it is fall and winter.
And, others times it is spring and summer.
But, no matter what season we are in,
That God is watching over and protecting each of us.

Does the meaning change or do we perceive spring differently as we get older? That's what this piece brought to mind for me. Can't comment on form--rank beginner especially in poetic stuff.

One or two errors here and there. Many things you enjoyed about spring when you were young, but now you see it from a spiritual perspective. Thanks for sharing.

I think this would be better as prose paragraphs, and then expanded...more about your feelings for spring, then and now.

I would have liked to have seen your reflections expanded further - what you liked about Spring as a child and what you appreciate now - and then conclude with your lovely thought that God is with us regardless of the season of life. Keep writing.
