I am a writer. I used to brag about having enough rejection slips to paper my bedroom walls. When does a writer choose to put thoughts to blank slate aka the fitful components of brain savagery brought on by a nose running so fast I cannot eat it all?
Guilt. Especially when anything conceptualized by enough stale cranberry juice, an almost spotless history of turning articles in by the deadline, sigh.
Okay. I admit I am filling space trying to place pros and cons together into one cohesive thought. I can back up and take a running jump into a plethora of wondrous verbiage. Sigh.
I haven’t even read the bricks yet. Much less hit the bricks. I have been inundated with bricks aplenty, starting with and continuing daily with horse-choking nausea, a cough that makes a whooping crane sound anemic, and out of the horribly expensive medication for my Fibromyalgia. The old donut hole on my prescription meds.
I have made a few dandy choices today. One is to head to my nearest pharmacy to substitute a generic brand. The next best choice is to remember I am a caregiver, albeit in need of one meself.
My poor hubby has been reaping the not-so- terrific benefits of my malaise. He loves me through this time of snuffling misery and miserableness.
This is an almost pathetic bit of imagery – trying to Erma Bombeck an article worthy of garnering a few choice sympathetic nods. I may be up to filling the minimum word count, so the pros and cons served here are my energy level and your patience.
Thank you for bearing with me, thank the good Lord for giving me something – anything to write, and may you have much more interesting articles to read.
To make this even more palatable, I am forgoing all the obvious corrections required to get this past the judges.
