Stakes are high and prices rigged
Souls get calloused and purity ripped

Their cakes are spongy, moist and sweet
Blasphemy’s, the secret of their recipe
They can direct your insecurities
Towards their suitable deities
Its tough to visually discern their frauds
Till you realize you’re serving menial gods

On jealousy, hatred, and rage take a bite
Discord, envy, orgies and the like
The essence of this place is the same as the two
To distort genuine sweetness and dampen the truth
Per our creational build, we’re emotional beings
Beware these fakers feed on negative feelings.

Reminiscing…
The week’s food critiquing has left me at a loss
The sweetness’ turned bitter now needing a floss
Strange how the bitterness has tainted my taste
Impairing my judgment from savory to distaste
Alas this restaurateur is strikingly shrewd
Though décor’s all different he serves the same food
Camouflaging the acrid, in spurious saccharine
Damaging lives through his contorted cuisine

Living Waters Buffet
Beaten wood adorned, quietly perched on a rock
Bread and wine is their best, afresh and in stock
You can eat all you want, drink to your fill
Quenches hunger and thirst, Owner pays the bill
‘Tis amazing how this food adapts to your need
The unpalatable in your system, ‘tis able to weed
Now I visit here a plenty and each time I eat
I’ve tasted the genuine, there’s nothing as sweet!
