This is worded so beautifully. Would love to hear the song. :)
Your comparisons of God in the first stanza invoke deep emotion, making me see His coming as Christ in a whole new light (no pun intended). The second stanza is so beautiful, and makes me want to weep. I love this from beginning to end, the meter and rhymes near perfect and the sentiments heartfelt. So nice!
Absolutely wonderfully told, Sharon. I agree with the above comments and would add this should have placed. This would be a wonderful hymn, if you have music to it I'd love to see it.
God bless and keep writing.
As promised, you can now listen to this modern Christmas carol by following this link:

Note however that the third verse has been revised following comments from other FW writers
I encourage all who read this to listen to Sharon's song on the above link - it is well worth it! What a blessing!
This speaks to the heart as only something written from the heart can do. Even without melody it sings and it's true, "heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter still." God bless you, your writing and your calling as you continue to share your gifts in song and in word. Loren
Sharon, I just discovered this by listening to your song. How beautiful! Your imagery is rich and vividly capturing the greatest gift this world has ever known. I love this wonderful song and poem! Thank you!!
