.......Congress is at work
Lass meets the eye
Heart turns to love
In the bye and bye
His brain's mush above
.......Your money to jerk
New baby to feed
His college on hold
For family's needs
A story oft told
.......A new law to pass
Moms rush to be ready
Kids leaving for school
Chaos reigns steady
Just minutes for carpool
.......For more of our cash
Hard job, young father
Anxiety he feels
Strength he must gather
To provide family meals
.......Collect every dime
Dawn, milk the cow
Crops to be sown
Fields ready to plow
Work 'til sundown
.......Create Daylight Savings Time
Arise before light
Not sure why it is
Try with all our might
But ignorance is bliss
.......More taxes to be spent
We'll work 'til sunset
The mortgage to pay
And bills to be met
There's no time to play
.......A bigger National debt
