Coffee was served with a greeting
All present and accounted for
I think we are here with no more…
But there’s a seat no one chose
There is one missing. Where is Nose?
Has any seen him…please do tell
How do we sense it without smell?
Hands were busy touching life
Feet were fleeing from all strife
Eyes were viewing all they could see
Oh, but where could that Nose be?
Heart was occupied with love
Fingers touching God above
Knees were bent in fervent prayer
Body seemed safe without care
But what of Nose, no one knew
So to the Mouth they all drew
Mouth opened and a whisper came
“I’m not sure who it is to blame”
Let us hurry to the Ear
If any Nose, he will hear
We’re all related to the face
But Nose is not in usual place
Maybe Nose is in a tiff?
May we discern without The Sniff?
What is a Nose out of joint,
But amputation with no point!
The body needs to work together
Rain or shine or any weather
Never a cold Shoulder be
Nor let a grudge come unto thee
So, Body, listen; listen well
This is the story I will tell
This meeting had a happy close
Except, that is, for Mr. Nose!

May be a little bit too close to the actual saying, perhaps? But an effective allegory nevertheless.
"Heart was occupied with love
Fingers touching God above
Knees were bent in fervent prayer
Body seemed safe without care"
Then your mention of the "cold shoulder", and "the nose out of joint" was just plain fun. Thanks for writing this. Keep working!
