Then I was just a boy of seven. Coming from a poor family, we usually ate a lot of barley loaves, and less lamb or ham; but more of tiny salt fish caught from Galilee.
Suddenly Andrew, whose brother was Simon Peter, approached me.
"Would you like to share your breakfast with others?"
"Sure, here you are!" I responded with a wry grin, wondering how this scanty amount could really save the day.
I could not believe my eyes! As Jesus broke the bread into pieces, the pieces multiplied. Instead of having less, the bread and the fish multiplied exponentially. My parents and I were mesmerised by the sight.
The fish and bread tasted fine, and we all ate to our heart's content. Nobody complained about the food and its portion. We were truly satisfied. I still cannot figure it out how they managed to collect twelve baskets of leftover bread and fish pieces. On this green field, the Master taught us a new Mathematics!
