There once was a girl and her sister.
The first couldn’t catch her mister.
For when second was around,
She made the funniest sounds,
And all the boys wanted to kiss her.

One day in town arrived a new man,
This one played trumpet in a band.
He looked past the second and saw the first,
And felt like his heart would burst,
If he had to live without his biggest fan.

There once was a girl who played the piano,
But had lost her passion for going solo.
She joined forces with the trumpet player,
Who had learned to be a stayer,
And soon there was no place they couldn’t go.

Life was now sweeter than honey.
Everywhere they went it was sunny.
Colors were brighter,
Their moods were lighter,
And life was not all about money.

There once was a man and his girl.
Their favorite thing was to twirl.
As they danced together they found their joy,
In living each moment they would enjoy,
Each other like a lost pearl.

There once was a girl and her sister.
The first one found her mister.
And she now knew,
The shadows were few,
When everything around her glistered.
