One of the first covenants God made with man, was sealed and signed by the salt covenant. Salt covenants were not to be entered into lightly, no more than a marriage agreement between husband and wife. Salt covenants represents a commitment for life, an agreement that cannot be broken, a treasured friendship, and security. The salt covenant is the strongest covenant ever known to man, and established by God. A salt covenant can only be broken if one party can remove their salt from the pouch agreement, and replace it back in their pouch.
When entering into the salt covenant agreement, both parties possess their individual bottles of salt. The bottles of salt represent their lives as individuals, families, and friends. It constitutes a now agreement. When their salt is combine together, they are agreeing to leave behind the past, and go forth in the newness of life together as one. The salt covenant binds a lifetime commitment to each other together. Salt is the preservative that secures the qualities and character of God in their life. Qualities that include loyalty, commitment, faithfulness, obedience, pureness, sincerity, honesty, integrity, compassion, mercy. The salt covenant agreement is a reminder to be the light of the world to shine in times of darkness, being an example of how to share a life together as husband and wife. The salt covenant kindles a readiness in season and out to share God's wisdom to other's from His word. The salt covenant establishes and binds God's written word in your life. Salt is placed in each of our lives beginning in the womb of mother. The cross is where the cleansing of the salt begins. Christ ignites a fire that brings forth a finished product if one allows. The refiner's fire will finish vessels of honor, You, the salt of the earth. When two lives are joined together as husband and wife in Christ Jesus, a three cord fold is established that cannot be easily be broken. God's Covenant of marriage is established in the sharing in His salt covenant and secured through the blood covenant of Christ forever. Therefore two are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. You are now husband and wife.
