Hear my words, ye wise men; And give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
For the ear trieth words, As the palate tastes food.
Let us choose for us that which is right: Let us know among ourselves what is good.
Job 34:1-4
American Standard Version
Dear Lord,
Today and every day
I pray that I will hear “Your Words”
And not the words of man
May I choose wise expressions
From
God’s grocery-list of words
May my palate taste food
From
God’s marketplace-
May You find no displeasure
In the groceries I choose
May my four-letter words-
Never be dirty-words
May my thoughts and reflections
Mirror God’s heart
May I be kind to strangers
For they could be angels in disguise
May I never have an acid tongue
But choose my words wisely
From
God’s infinite grocery-store!
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control.
Galatians 5:22-23
