(Written for the graduate)
You’re going into another school year
And yes, sometimes
Cheers become tears;
But, if you just seek the Lord,
And all His righteousness.
Look up to Him -
And all your needs confess.
Then, hear His voice -
Make His Word your choice;
And don’t look back
Look straight ahead,
And you’ll go on.
Walk straight ahead
The door is open wide.
Don’t waste your time
By looking to the side.
Look straight ahead,
Even if you must put blinders on -
Look straight ahead
And you’ll find you can go on.
Don’t let your friends say
That you cannot succeed.
Trust in the Lord -
He’ll give you everything you need.
No left, no right
There’s just His Word to heed
Straight ahead! Straight ahead! Straight ahead!
For the Lord is ready to take you in -
Into His marvelous light.
There’s a whole new life just ahead of you;
But, you’re the only one -
You have to make it right.
So, straight ahead -
Yourself cannot avail -
Be a success.
There’s just no way that you can fail.
If you believe and trust,
(These two are a must!)
And don’t look back,
Look straight ahead,
You’ll go on.
Straight ahead!, Straight ahead! Straight ahead!

Nicely done. Thank you for this, I am sure many will appreciate your words.
God BLess~
I'm not great with poems, though I do enjoy writing them. These are just some of my thoughts, you had a lot of dashes that halted the flow for me. You may want to double space and break it down to verses so it's not overwhelming to the reader.
It was spot on topic. I do believe this is the first graduation story I've read. I enjoy fresh takes on the topic. You also give some delightful advice here.
