I loved the way you told this story and the dynamics of reading and learning around your father's books. Nicely done.

Beautiful descriptions, and such vivid memories. I felt like I was with you and your wonderful books. Nicely done.
I enjoyed how the books you read when you were younger helped form who you are today. It was a nice trip down memory lane. Our favorite books tell us much about ourselves.

This is my favorite sentence: "The best part was curling up in the chair across from his desk and silence would fall as we dipped into another world—a world where anything was possible if God was on your side."

And how wonderful that that world exists not only in the books, but also in everyday life if we choose to submit to Him!

I love how your character advances through the story. You can see her growing from a young girl barely able to read comic strips, to a young lady fascinated by heroes of the faith. I share her admiration of those heroes. They are the ones whose stories encourage us to keep going against all odds -- through the power of Christ.

Great story! :)
