Can you hear me?
I am very small.
Can you hear me?
I don't speak loud at all.

I have no words
My tongue can’t utter speech (yet)

Can you feel me?
I move, but very slowly
Can you feel me?
I am subtle, I am lowly.

I have no arms
My feet can’t twinkling fly (yet)

Can you touch me?
I can feel your every move
Can you touch me?
My existence I must prove

I have no arms, no voice
No legs, no touch (yet)

Can you hurt me?
Yes, you have that strength.
Can you hurt me?
God keep you from that length.

I can’t defend myself
I am not known to you (yet)

Do you love me?
If you’re aware, please tell me that you do
Do you love me?
If you mean it, say it’s true

I have capacity to love
And (already) I love you.

I guess because I am not a mother I did not get this until I read the comments. Needs some work and the topic is very light but I now see the intent.

I like the unique structure of this poem.

It's perhaps light on the topic of this week.

I'd love to see this as a bulletin insert, perhaps for Sanctity of Life Sunday.
