Their never seems enough room for all the clothes and items I put into a case to go away. Clothes for cold weather, hot weather and in between. The toiletries seem to take up half the space, shoes thats another story. We are told in the bible somewhere to travel lightly and in hope just one change of clothes if that.
I have a lot of baggage in my personal life, though it is mostly in my mind. Have I turned the heating off or cancelled the milk. Will I manage the journey just leaving the house sometimes seems a problem to me. To travel lightly and in hope may not only mean what our bodies need. I feel a need to dispel my inner turmoil of the fretting and worry for I am always drained when I arrive at my destination.
Most of my journey in life I have carried so much baggage, but with hindsight I realise three quarters of heavy goods have been shredded away. Dropped off at certain points as my walk with God has grown and grown. My feeling of carrying all the weight in my mind I have managed to off load and put it on Jesus shoulders a little at a time, so that all I need now is a prayer book.
