Snap's cheeks matched his fire red hair. “Aw shucks Mary, you always know how to make me blush.”
Mary showed Snap to his seat, “Sit here honey. Let's get started.”
Snap sat nervously in his seat, he shifted and played with his hands. He couldn't believe where he was. The famous Mary Lucy Leonardo! He was still star-struck even though he had been here before during the big controversy of '06. This time would be better. He really liked Mary, she's the one who gave him a chance to speak his heart during that difficult time.
“Okay Mary, you're on.” the voice next to the camera said and gave her the countdown.
Mary smiled, “Hi and welcome to another day with Mary Lucy Leonardo. Today we are talking about breakfast. Oh yes ladies, that elusive thing we are supposed to have in the morning to keep us on track and healthy, you know what I'm talking about.” She gestured toward Snap, “Please welcome back, Snap from the Rice Krispies empire.”
When the clapping died down she turned slightly to face him. “Welcome back.”
“Thank you Mary, it's an honor to be here.” Snap lowered his head briefly as he tried to keep the butterflies at bay.
“So Snap, tell us, how are things going? How are your brothers?”
“Well, my brothers. Oh boy, what can I say about my brothers? They are staying out of trouble, mostly.” He laughed as he ran a hand through his hair, “No really they are doing great. Crackle has been working at headquarters and has taken over the marketing department. Pop decided he's more of a fourth meal pusher as opposed to a breakfast king. He has started his own band and is actually doing quite well. He's loving the nightlife and I think it suits him.”
“Sounds like they have been very busy boys. It's good to hear they are doing well. I know you have been quite busy yourself haven't you. Why don't you tell the good folks what you have been up to Snap.”
“I am excited about our newest addition to our line of breakfast goodies.” Snap reached out to the coffee table between Mary and himself, lifted the blue veil halfway then turned to the audience and smiled. “Okay here we go. Introducing Java Krispies, breakfast for busy mom's and everyone else who likes coffee and Rice Krispies.”
Mary raised her eyebrows as one corner of her mouth curled up. “Not too shabby huh? Well audience, we couldn't just make you look at it, we have to let you taste it right? So here you go, one for everyone here, enjoy!”
Models came out from the sides carrying trays of Java Krispies and handed them out to everyone in the audience.
Mary took one off the coffee table as did Snap. “Now Snap, tell us, how do we do this? Won't the Krispies get, well, uncrispified?”
Snap laughed. “Well we certainly don't want decrispified Krispies do we? Here's what you do, pick up the plastic bottle of Java Krispies, cup your hand on the bottom and turn. See the little baggie of Krispies in there? Now open the top, drop 'em in, and drink up!” Snap leaned in, listening. “Hear that? That is the sound of breakfast on the go.”
Mary smiled at Snap, “Looks like you've done it again, Snap. You've saved breakfast!”
