ADD TO MY FAVORITES
With flowers all over the place.
But as I looked into each flower
I saw not just petals, but a human face.
I thought this was the strangest garden
That I had ever seen.
Then God spoke to me
To tell me what it all would mean.
He said “I just brought you here”
“The world’s garden of souls to unfold.”
“And each and every flower you see”
“Holds a different ones immortal soul.”
“These souls are ready for harvest”
“But the laborers are few.”
“Without tending these flowers will wilt and die.”
“That’s why, my child, I sent for you.”
Look around you closely
And you’ll know where to begin.
To tell others about My salvation
It could even be your dearest friend.
When I awoke, I looked around,
I knew exactly what the dream meant.
For all around me were fellow inmates
Most of whom felt their lives were spent.
My eyes were now open
My mission became totally clear.
There are no more doubts remaining
As to why He has allowed me to be here.
There are so many around me
Whose lives to sin have been enslaved.
And God wants me to witness
So all His flowers can be saved.
Whether you realize it or not
You walk around in a similar garden every day.
Do you try to harvest these souls for Jesus
Or just cast them out of your way?

You don't need the quotation marks beginning and ending each line. One set to open the quote, and one to close it...or you could put God's words in italics.
Thanks for this thoughtful poem.
Well done.
Your rhyme scheme was solid throughout. Your meter varies from stanza to stanza. Reading your poem aloud, finding the accented syllables, holding to one rhythm throughout the poem would make it sing.
I really liked the concepts you were conveying here! Keep writing!
