I really like the unusual structure of this poem, with the 2nd and 3rd lines of each stanza echoing the 1st line. Beautiful sentiments.
Very unique pattern - I liked it. The ending deviated from the pattern - but it's still a great poem :)
This poem brought up a lot of thoughts. I was in the military, and my husband was the "wife". I think it was more of a sacrifice for him than it was for me. It does echo the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. God bless you two.
"....and there shall be no more war"; I can't wait for that heavenly day! I hate war, but coming from a military family, being IN the military and marrying into the military...I respect the sacrifices of the troops of all Nations and their patriotism...and this little poem tells it all. Nicely done. God bless.
Nice free verse, a great title too.
This was really great. I liked the style and the message.
Great Job! Really enjoyed reading it!
I really liked this. It seems like something that could be published in a military magazine of some sort.
