How do you react when things go wrong as they sometimes do? When you are faced with the option to give in to feelings of failure and depression, what do you do?
Hope is a strong feeling of belief for the better, a knowledge that this too will pass.
Hope makes you go to God first when you have problems. Without hope, you try everything else and when you have exhausted your list, you then go to God when it may be too late.
Hope is trading worries for worship and meditating on the word of God. It is giving little significance to your giants.
It is a conscious decision to enjoy everyday of your life even with problems. They will surely come but hope gives the assurance that God is in control.
Hope allows you to praise God before you see results because the beginning of anything worthwhile is exciting, the middle is usually filled with storms and what you do during the storm determines the finish.
You cannot defeat your giants without hope. Hope gives a positive mindset and builds confidence to go on against all odds.
What comes out of your mouth when you are frustrated and angry? It is quite difficult to say the right things when we are angry but a heart filled with hope knows that things can get better if we look beyond what we see.
How you act in the wilderness determines how long you will be there.
