God created us balanced, and then life happens, and then, life becomes a puzzle.
Through-out life we miss our toys, our belongings, a certain taste, ambience, settings, events, parents, grandparents, siblings, family, other people from school, from events, sometimes we even miss ourselves too.
We all are building, painting, creating blind trying to find balance in today’s circumstances, today’s situations, which functions like a sprocket in this puzzlement we know to be life. The balance of which we are to cope with, demystify, making pieces fit, or, at least trying to. In the NT Jesus gave us guidelines to follow; he gave us Himself as mentor, as example, as teacher, he taught us how to pray; so why are we trying to fit pieces of another’s puzzle into our own?
Do I sometimes feel puzzled; of course I do. Does life out there seem to be full of questions with only a handful of answers, sure it does. ‘Life out there’, because life in here, called home, I can manage, and unravel and see to it that all the pieces fit, and the sprocket and chain is at the right tension, as ‘life out there’ is only part of the puzzle of which I have little control over if any.
When pieces are missing, or we are out of balance, what do we do; do we just carry on without finding the missing piece or pieces, or trying to clarify or justify the picture on the puzzle piece, trying, praying believing to make sense of the blurry picture. Corners that no longer has the correct shape for a snug fit; through discussions with Jesus, prayer, renewing thy mind, our balance and clarity is refined and defined
Should we not rather live our life as a complete puzzle or a sprocket and chain, maintaining compassion, balance, pieces that fit, albeit some to be a little blurry and worn-out? Our puzzle picture to be that of People of Principle, The Ten Commandments, The Lord’s Prayer, The Book of Proverbs, some Psalms of the Book of Psalms, take guidance from The Book of Wisdom, The Book of Ecclesiastes instead of trying to fit pieces that are distorted and doesn’t belong…
Or do we forever want to be and stay an enigma; a mystery to others and to ourselves, missing pieces of the puzzle?
