and this is where my interest grew in the spiritual realm for me.
I still cannot accept the fact that I've gone under, and I believe that my death came much too soon for me. You see, I still had so much that I could have accomplished if only I'd lived. After all, I'm only 72 years old, which means that I've got a good 10 to 15 productive years ahead of me, my family seems to live into the nineties and some one hundred plus. I was having a romantic moment with my bride of 50 years. I still loved my wife as passionately as I did say thirty years ago. You see, love grows, and the longer we had been married, the sweeter our love and affection had grown for each other.
I'm guessing that it was my time, and the Father needed me for some reason.
By the time that we reached our twentieth wedding anniversary, we knew each other's likes and dislikes. We were running like clockwork by the time we reached our 46th year; we were both happy. In other words, by this time in my life, I'd stop making foolish mistakes. I've grown to be a mature man and also wiser in my Christian development, but don't ask my wife; you see, we all think that we're better than we, indeed, are. At times of significant life decisions, I knew that I had to be confident, and I wanted to be perfect for the woman that I unequivocally loved. I knew that I had genuinely married up.
My bride and I jumped the broom ( got married) in 1969, yes I was a young man, at the tender age of twenty-one and she was one year behind me.
In the sixties, life was crazy, tumultuous, and we were daring there was a saying, " If it feels good, do it, " what an attitude my generation had. Also, another sweeping statement was, "Make love, not war." You see, our boys were fighting and dying on foreign soil; in Southeast Asia, Vietnam now this engagement was called only a police action.
Many of our sons and daughters, as well as moms, and dads died. Sadly their life stories were finished; they were all heroes in my book.
