This situation makes me think about being spiritually hungry. The Bible talks about people being in lack and suffering hunger for physical food, but it also addresses the positive side of hunger. Consider Matthew 5:6: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” (NKJV). Now that is a hunger that I have. I am so ready for Jesus to return and make the new heavens and the new earth that will be established in righteousness. From the deepest part of my heart I cry out to for it. I want to be done with this body of sin. Like Paul says in Romans 7, I do the things I don’t want to do, and I don’t do the things that I should do. I have grown weary from this constant conflict.
I have seen people who are not hungry for the things of the Lord and it grieves me because they are satisfied with only a small portion of the life that God has given us here on earth. I think it grieves Him as well. “We are satisfied”, they say and with those words their growth is stunted. Ah, to be hungry for righteousness! In the spirit we need to be like my husband at an Italian buffet and crave the presence of the Lord and His Word. It is the only way to grow and the only to experience all of His goodness.

I enjoyed your entry which is filled with a great message overall.
Blessings~
I loved your use of describing the pasta. Made my mouth water! Lol!
My only critique is, watch use of the word "and" and possibly use more commas instead. This is just "my" opinion. However, I could be wrong as well.
Loved it!
