From time to time, someone would shout out " Shark," and it always seemed to cause panic on the beach. Another one of God's creatures that I enjoyed searching for while at the beach was the Horseshoe Crab. As young boys, the thrill of possibly getting stung by this non-attractive thing coming out and going into the ocean was adventurous for us.
But something along the way changed and graduately without even noticing the beach had lost its charm for me. Unfortunately, I still have not yet visited any of the beautiful beaches here in North Carolina, and my family and I have lived here for nearly thirty two years now. After accepting this writing challenge I have now started to remember back to the days of yesteryear. Growing up in the fiveties and sixities was a great time to be a youth. Watching Westerns, World War II movies, and when I was very young I enjoyed the " Mickey Mouse Club" most guys my age loved Annette
Funicello and became " Mouseketeers. " Most of my pals and I followed Annetts career, through the sixities and all of the Beach Party movies which included Frankie Avalon. Presently I'm thinking about a trip to Wilimington Beach, just a few hours away.
Until next time.

Some Red Ink: I felt this entry ended a little abruptly. I think one more sentence tying the nostalgia of the past to your motivation for visiting again would be good.
The end left me wondering why the beach lost its luster. I wanted to why it didn't have the appeal as it did as a child.
