the worst about you
and loves you just the same.
There is only one who loves like that
and Jesus is his name."
I have had many friends
in places where I have been,
.but when I moved to other places,
they were not to be seen.
Moving from place to place
is not conducive to keeping friends.
Letter writing is a lost art,
not meeting to make amends.
Worldly friends may come and go
as in life I move too and fro,
only Jesus stays the same,
as him I come to know.
Jesus called us friends
when on earth he did attend,
he gave his life to all who believe
as a sacrifice for sin he did end.
A friend is closer than a brother
bound together like no other.
We do not choose our family,
but our best friend is our mother.
Friends have stuck together
through thick and thin
when life's adventures begin
showing inner resources within.
To be greeted by old friends
when arriving at journey's end,
is a pleasant part of life,
in spite of toil and strife.
Companionship is important
in any activity of life,
to be of similar mind and heart,
saves us a lot of strife.

Bless you.
Your poem had a good message.
Suggestion: to and fro
Maybe end with traveled and unraveled.
I felt like the poem lost its cohesiveness after the fifth stanza. You went from Jesus being the ultimate friend when other friendships waver to your best friend being a mother and good constant friendships.
