It has been a long, frightening, stressful two weeks. I feel I have experienced every feeling possible since we got the terrible news that my niece had been taken to the hospital.
Heather is a forty-six year old wife and mother of three children; a grown daughter and two young sons.
She had become more and more despondent as the day wore on. Very tired, needing to just ly and rest. She is normally a very busy, get everything done before the boys arrive home from school, kind of Mom-- with cookies and milk awaiting them. Today, she was lying on the couch, moaning.
As her mom, Nana Deb, walked into the house, after picking up the boys from school, Heathers glucose monitor began a very loud noise and Nana knew that was a bad sign. She called 911 immediately. Heather was arriving at the ER at the hospital in mere minutes!
Our family is very close, though thousands of miles apart. Deb pulled out her phone and sent a text message to all of us who she knew would want to be kept in the loop. This was to be our lifeline to keep up with Heathers progress for the next two weeks.
We received word that her glucose was dangerously high. Then , it was decided that she had pneumonia-an infection. We all knew this was a life threatening condition as Heather has type 1 diabetes!
We all began to contact everyone we knew who believes in prayer. Prayers were circulating the globe within minutes of us receiving the news of her hospitalization.
She began to get better, was moved from ICU to a regular room. Within a few hours, she was returned to ICU as all her various numbers, Blood pressure, glucose, etc, had gone crazy.
The texts continued across the states and to our sister in British Colombia. The prayers continued around the globe.
Poor Nana Deb was staying at the hospital overnight, not able to sleep or rest and Heathers husband would stay during the day, running back to pick up the boys from school and getting them settled before bedtime.
The days drug on and on. We were very fearful she would not make it. Then, suddenly, she began to begin the long road back to recovery.
Finally, she is home with her family and Nana Deb and the whole family are able to relax and just care for her as she continues to recover.
God works miracles , sometimes He just does them in His time, not when we want Him to!

I would suggest, you could find a way to break up the sentences at the forth paragraph.
