Like a
storm, a
mighty force…
Like a whirlwind,
a tempest sea stirred
heavenly breezes across four corners,
raising up the tetrad powerful beasts…
Each
Each one,
different, the
fourth most terrifying…
Each one stirred
fear in the hearts
of those who endured the
fiery darts of its vehement hatred…
As
As the
first was
like a lion
As the lion
grew wings like eagles,
feathers ripped out, lifted up
into an upright position, standing tall,
blending a human figure with mortal mind…
Another
Another beast
appeared on
the scene
Another beast reared
up on hind feet
resembling a bear, clenching three
ribs in its teeth, directed to
attack, devour all earthly flesh that’s desired…
Behold
Behold a
third creature
suddenly emerged
Behold a leopard
flew in like a
bird with four wings on
its back, and the four-headed creature
ruled the world with an iron-clad fist…
Before
Before me
appeared a
fourth beast
Before me arose
a menacing ten-horned monster
that surfaced from the deep
no words could describe how detestable
the atrocities it unleashed on unsuspecting victims…
Its
Its strong
steely teeth
crushed things
Its strong bronze
feet trampled everything remaining
a little horn grew from
among them and plucked three of
the first ten horns by its roots…
This
This little
horn had
human eyes
This little horn
had a man’s mouth
that spewed out boisterous claims
it was far greater in stature
than the counterparts that had previously reigned…
I
I watched
as the
vision unfolded
I watched the
clatter of haughty words
gushing from the little horn
as it bragged of deceiving saints
by altering religious sacraments and God’s laws…
An
An uproar
in the
heavenly realms
An uproar began
as thrones were set
for the Ancient of Days.
The court was called to order
and the books of judgment were opened…
The
The beasts’
crumpled form
lay still
The beast had
been slain for the
traitorous acts it afflicted on
Holy Ones of God most High
and its body consumed by the fire

I liked how you took out one word from each stanza and built on it with the next.
