I enjoyed this clever take on the topic. Telling the story from the dog's POV really tugged at my heart. I wish I knew exactly what Mom prayed for and how the boy and dog lost an eye. Though at first I thought maybe his eye looked like it had a patch, but you called him the one-eyed dog. The fact that I want to read more is a good sign that you have a knack for storytelling. I truly enjoyed this bittersweet story.

This is a great story. It has a unique POV that comes through as "human." It has humor, and of course, Hope, at the end. I loved it.

As soon as I read this one, I knew it was a winner... It breaks my heart when I see animals who have been abused or abandoned...I confess sometimes I feel more compassion for animals than I do people. I guess I assume people know better. I'm so glad Hope found a home...

Love animals and love your article. But it works for people also - God steps in for us too. Great animal's point of view.
