You said that if we’d humble ourselves
You’d hear our cry from heaven
I fear that we are full of pride
Our hearts are full of leaven
As this year starts we know the need
To come to you and pray
Our country needs some wisdom, Lord
God bless the USA
We do not want to judge the heart
Of those along the way
We want to bow before you Lord
Absolve the USA
The years have come, the years have gone
We’ve watched so much decay
Four million babies die each year
Forgive the USA
Our youth have left the standards taught
They are tattooed, pierced and gay
We need your help to bring them back
Restore the USA
We hear your children fuss and fight
They go to church to play
Help us remember why we’re here
Revive the USA
