I think all perents desire to be perfect. They desire being the best for their children, building them up the most they can, and just being the best parent they can be. But there is a differnece in what parents want and what they really are. They are people who desire things. One of the things they desire could be wanting to be the best aprent, but other desires could get in the way. Such as alcohol, drugs, love from a man/woman, etc. Parents also tend to either do two of the following. Follow their parents footsteps or not follow them at all. Growing up they may say that they won't follow their parents at all, but in reality, most of them do. Sometimes that is good and sometimes that is bad, depending on how the parents were. God put a desire into everyone's heart to multiply and be fruitful and to love. If you don't have these three desires, then that means society or yor own stubbornness has talked you out of them. But they are suppose to be there, and deep down, always are. If we are fruitful and we multiply the earth and we love, then we are doing good. This is what a parent should be. That is what i wish we all were. The desires we have in our heart are put there by God. If we weren't suppose to want them and achieve them, they wouldn't be there. What we really need to do when it comes to parenting is listen to the desires in our heart. God put them there long before we were aware of them and we should start listening in order to be the parents we should be.
