I search for prosperity but only in vain. What is prosperity? It’s only a word; a word that can stir the wildest imagination. When dreaming of prosperity my visions run fast. I would do this, no I would do that. In reality it is all very empty. For seeking for prosperity we can only obtain in this world, leads us to a life that is never fulfilled. Often I’ve dreamed of ways to obtain whatever this word prosperous means; only to find that I’m left with emptiness.
For me, the word prosperity is taking on a new meaning. I am beginning to clearly see that what this life has to offer is shallow in the light of eternity. If my house is the largest, the biggest and best; my car the fastest, the richest in class, what does it profit just as the Bible says?
True prosperity is finding the way to reach into heaven and grasp a hold of the prize; each and every day being found worthy in His eyes. Being a blessing, praying and encouraging, things that are valuable in eternity; this is where to search for prosperity. If you search in this way the promise is true, you will find prosperity; God’s prosperity, it’s one of a kind.
