Adventure, experience, and time carry it a mile
With each shiny ray of light
Comes two smiles of delight
Two hearts so different, so rare
Join together this day to bear
The weight, the struggle and the fight
That could carry them into the night
He may stare an angry glare
She may declare your unfair
But soon with hearts intertwined
Anger and hurt are redefined
Then a quiet moment, a peaceful calm
As they stand together on the Lord’s palm
Each thankful for their fate
That the Lord’s blessing did create
That is why love desires
God’s blessing to inspire
A lifetime of hope and peace
For which only he can release
For two lovers, two friends
Love has no ends
When it begins with a laugh and a smile
Adventure, experience and time will carry it a mile
This poem is dedicated to my husband of eight wonderful years who has both taught and encouraged me on my path of love. Without his special ways I would not be the God loving Christian I am today. For all that he has done for my kids and my life I am truly blessed.
