Now, due to the increasing number of accidents related to texting and driving we have come to realise how deadly this desire to constantly be with our phones can be. Why can’t we seem to wait till we are at our destination to read a text or send a reply. I can’t really say, there is this strong urge to pick up the phone and read something. Its like the phone is calling out to you, pick me up, hold me in your palm and you will find something interesting. An irresistible temptation that can’t seem to be ignored. Not even with the messages going around presenting facts about the number of people losing their lives as a result of using their phones will driving.
The phrase “The text or message can wait†keeps going around and I hope we are paying attention.
There is however, a text that can’t wait, yet it is quite easy to ignore. We don’t seem to have an irresistible temptation to read that text, tag someone or forward it. We would often put that text hold to view other messages on our phones even though they can wait. This text can’t wait because our lives depend on it, especially in this “click click†world where our eyes and ears are flooded with so much information we practically get drown in them. We are not ready to sacrifice our time to read this particular text and would only do when we have free time on our hands. Somehow, we are never in a rush to read this text nor do have constant cravings to have our eyes fixated on it. It can wait we always thinks.
But it can’t. The Bible is full of texts which we can’t wait to be read. These messages can’t wait. While reading messages on our phone can draw us closer to dead, the messages in the bible draw us away from all sorts of death. Just think abut how many times we have died to victory over sin, died to comfort, love, forgiveness and contentment all because we have ignored the Bible texts. Instead of being able to live out these things everyday, we die to them because we trade the Bible text for all other kinds of other texts which don’t only have the ability to kill us physically but in other spiritual and emotional ways.
To get back to reading the Bible texts and falling in love with it so much, that every other text is put on hold, let try capturing this in our minds. When someone one is reading a text while driving, an accident is bound to happen because that person is no longer focusing on the road and obviously not the one driving. The vehicle is just going in any direction, he is no longer in charge of the wheel. This is physical but also goes further, the kind of messages we read also take charge of the wheel in certain aspects of our lives and drives us along that path because we begin to think that way.
However, when we are delighted in reading the Bible texts and spend our time reading them, we let go of the wheels of our lives as well but this is not deadly because God takes over the wheel and moves us in the path that is pleasing to HIM. HIS path always leads to abundant and full life. HIS word is a lamp and light unto our path. You determine who takes charge of the wheel of your life, other people or God. You have to choose.
Every other text or message can wait but this TEXT can’t wait.

The topic was well worked, and you expressed your point of view with passion. However, I found some problems with the grammar. I have this problem too.
Perhaps "Writing Lessons with Jan and Ann", at the Forum page, would be useful to you. It has been to me.
Blessing.
