Angel’s parents never took her to church as a child, choosing instead to use Sunday as a day of rest and recreation. When she was a teenager in high school a classmate invited her to church. She attended that one Sunday, but turned down future invitations. Angel had no interest in being saved and living the Christian life; she wanted to fit in and be popular after all and everyone thought the Christian kids were weird.
In college some of her team mates on the softball team begged her to attend church with them and she turned them down every time. She didn’t want to hear about God or heaven and she let them know that. Ironically named Angel, she was far from that. She spent her five years in college looking for what trouble she could get into.
In spite of her carefree, rebellious attitude Angel graduated with a decent GPA and started a career as a news reporter, yet she still refused to hear the “good news”. She was obsessed with being the best in the business and this afforded her no time for a relationship with Christ.
Two years later Angel married the guy she had dated throughout college and had a child a year after that. Now her time was split between being super reporter and taking care of her husband and daughter. This left her little time for herself and none for God.
And so it went year after year with something or someone being Angel’s excuse for delaying salvation; Up until this very moment that she now faced, standing before the locked gate.

Many Christians aren't the examples God intends them to be to prevent such things happening. We have to examine our lives so we aren't one of them without knowing it.
Keep writing and warning.
