“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Jeremiah 17:9
I do not like this verse. I like my heart and would love to follow its ways wherever it leads. I have fallen in love many times. I never understood this verse. Then I met a man enslaved to his heart’s desires for women. He fell in love with a close married relative. It was scandalous and he, kind of, could not understand the problem; after all, its love.
Today if you do not idolize romantic love in any form you are intolerant. Gay love is love and lifted up as a right and precious. Many believe in gay love, so I tell them what if you fell in love with your aunt, or your grandfather? What if you fell in love with your son? Would that be right? You think that is sick? Why do you think gay love is ok? Human love is not an idol. It is not always right. Gay rights have opened the door to anything-goes-love in a Pandora’s Box of deviations and the explosion and popular acceptance of pornography.
It hurts but I am beginning to understand this verse. We want to love what we want to love. The enemy’s hold on our heart is the unkindest trap. God is love, and love should be of Him. If you want to know love, or feel love, look at the Bible, look to Jesus, look to God.

Great job! :)

Doing something like that creates a vivid picture for the reader while setting the scene for your message. I definitely like some of the things you pointed out and think your piece will make people stop and think, which is always a good thing. You did a nice job of presenting your POV with this difficult topic.
