As a Christian Community we are commanded to proclaim the praises of God, and we will need to focus on this community for our own spiritual nourishment. This will enable us to focus outward in work and witness to the world with energy, intelligence, imagination and unbelievable love. And we have to do this together because we will not be able to accomplish any of this by our selves. Whether you understand this or not, we have all been chosen, we are all here for a reason. Your story has already been written by the “Author of Life”, all you have to do is act it out.1 Peter 2:9 tells us “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” This will only work though if we bring our Christ like bodies together to become the Body of Christ. And all of this must be done through prayer. And we are not alone, we have each other and we have Christ. “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
I remember the first time I went on a mission trip to Appalachia with my church. It was weird, all week I felt like a fish staring at the worm. And every time I went to bite the hook, it moved. God taught me about patience and how important it was. God showed me and let me feel a new and different kind of love. He taught me how to see through someone else’s eyes. I was taught not to judge and to see both sides of the coin. He made my senses come alive, and for the rest of my life I will see, taste and hear things differently than others. And to this day I still do.
It was a beautiful evening the following Friday night when the Lord finally let the fish bite the hook. But the best part about that night was the fisherman wasn’t going to eat the fish. He had no intention of gutting the fish and tossing it on to the fire. He gently held the fish in His hands and caressed it and removed the hook. He then placed it back into the water and chuckled as it splashed around like a new born being baptized and then watched it swim away as it breathed in new life.
I pray that someday we can all feel this way and be able to do God’s work on earth as it is in heaven. Please remember “Life isn’t about you, it’s about others and once you come to understand this, life then becomes about you.” I know life throws a lot at you and you’re trying to sort all of this out. We see ourselves as someone who’s just trying to do the right thing. God sees you that way too. But he also sees you as farmers and shepherds…who are outstanding…in they’re fields. But you must stay focused and take care of each other. And you also have to take care of your sheep, because the wolf in the shepherds cloak is also among you. And he too is outstanding in his field. So please try and solve the first world problem and all the others that are running next to it, and please do it together. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we all stared Christian bucket lists in our communities?

Thanks so much for sharing these insights!
Each Christian community has different needs therefore the Holy Spirit gives/blesses different people with different gifts. In this respect we may still be equal just different.
God gives each one opportunities to be of service to others. We want to be watchful so we do not loose out on these opportunities.
