Striving, yet never arriving, spinning in circles that are empty
Angry, bitter, forgiveness a word with no meaning
Hurt, so hurt, so much deep hurt
Despairing, no hope for my ravished soul, no light
Twisting and contorting, my heart too heavy to carry
Dark, so dark, so deep the dark
Constricted, not breathing, a corpse that laughs in vain
Bondage, Oh cruel master that binds me with futility
War, dark war, dark war raging in me
-Jesus-
Satisfied, yet always growing, moving forward on a straight path
Quiet, I listen, forgiveness now my true friend
Joy, true joy, such deep joy
Hoping, what praise for a soul made new, delight
Relaxing and unwinding, my heart so full of love it soars
Light, true light, such great light
Open, transparent, I deeply breathe in new life
Freedom, Oh great Master that bought me for great price
Peace, such peace, such peace living in me
