Today I saw a movie about the Alps which was truly breathtaking! During the movie, a train carefully traveled through a tunnel etched within one of these spectacular mountains. As it wound its way out the other side, it continued on its way riding above a gorge several hundred feet below. The train slowly traversed the steep ravine over which it rode looking as though a strong wind would at anytime blow it over the edge. However, the rails were built into the mountain walls and cemented on the tracks with precision engineering.
Such is the fabric of life. We travel from one point to another, carefully meandering our way over the pitfalls and problems we encounter in our life’s journey. We must remain securely cemented on the rails we travel while watching our every move. If not, we will fall into the chasm of doubt and insecurity.
Our path carries us around the rocks of heartache and pain; it transports us over the abyss of life’s uncertainties. However, our focus must remain centered on what lies ahead, while our faith is deeply rooted in the love of God and His will for our life. He will safely carry us above the boulders of bewilderment which block our view of the beauty surrounding us. Feel His strength surrounding you and supporting you with each step you travel.
